Palace chief expects defender to sign contract

first_imgCrystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has confirmed defender Scott Dann will sign a new contract with the club.Dann moved to Selhurst Park in January 2014 from Blackburn Rovers for an undisclosed fee, signing a three-and-a-half-year contract.Everton were rumoured to be interested in the defender but with his fine form last season, Parish was determined to keep hold of him.“He will definitely stay,” Parish told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast. “He won’t be going anywhere.“I think there will be an announcement coming very soon on a new deal for Scott so we are very pleased that he has agreed to stay.“I think we need to hold the squad together that we have got as well as add to it, so we have no intention of letting any of the players leave.”last_img
