Burglars stopped in their tracks but still get away

first_imgPolice managed to stop burglars in their tracks during a break-in at an expensive clothes shop in the tourist area of Germasoyia in Limassol but they still got away with €20,000 worth of goods, it was reported on Sunday.According to police, the two burglars broke into the shop in the early hours of Sunday and began piling the clothes into plastic bags despite the alarm going off. A passerby witnessed what was going on and called police who responded in time where the burglars decided to leave most of their loot behind, fleeing by car as officers fired a warning shot in the air.Police said however, the thieves had managed to get away with around €20,000 worth of the clothes.
